Attic fire at the Old Salt Restaurant

A small fire was reported at the Old Salt Restaurant on Lafayette Road in Hampton on Monday morning. Fire officials say it fire broke out in the restaurant’s attic but was quickly put out by the restaurant’s sprinkler system. Officials said there is water damage on the first and second floors. The restaurant will be closed on Monday and plans to reopen as soon as possible.
