Officer involved shooting in Manchester

A man died after being shot following a vehicle pursuit and foot chase by police in Manchester early Saturday morning. According to the Attorney General’s office, the incident began when police responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle on South Mammoth Road.

A pursuit ensued that ended in a crash, with the man fleeing on foot. Officials say police shot the man after an encounter near 293 South Mammoth Road. The man was taken to the hospital, where he later died.

The Attorney General’s Office and New Hampshire State Police Major Crime Unit are investigating.

The circumstances of the shooting remain under investigation.
