DURHAM, N.H.- Officials with the University of New Hampshire Police Department say a report of an active shooter on campus Monday was a hoax.

The announcement comes after officials received a report of a shooter at the Dimond Library, Monday evening which resulted in a strong response from authorities.

Following a search, police were able to confirm that there was no active threat to the community.
