Hardy Comments On Beyoncé’s Country Music Career

Beyoncé announces her first country album coming March 29th titled Act 2: Cowboy Carter.

Beyoncé fans are in full support because duh, it’s Beyoncé! The casual country fan, not so much.

Part of the problem is that country fans see it as a cash grab for Beyoncé, and not because she actually wants to be a country artist. Whatever it is, she’s smart for doing this , breaking the record for her being the first black woman with a #1 country song.

Even country artists aren’t happy with her souring the charts with her #1 hit Texas Hold ‘Em. Hardy posted some highlights from the Houston Rodeo recently, and it looks like he absolutely killed it on stage. However, his caption of his post raised an eyebrow!

Hardy captioned his post, “Didn’t see Beyoncé at the rodeo.”

It makes sense some country artists would be outwardly upset that Beyoncé is taking a spot on the charts, that they could potentially hold. What I appreciate is that she is staying true to her music, by not talking about the generic tractors and beer! She also went with a more pop vibe, instead of doing full blown honky tonk. With that, it does make sense that she didn’t attend the rodeo!
