Jelly Roll Headlined CMA Fest In The Same Parking Lot As His Juvenile Detention Center Lot

Over the weekend, CMA Fest hit Nissan Stadium in Nashville! Jelly Roll was the headliner for the Saturday night performance but had quite the story to share in the middle of his set.

Musician Jelly Roll headlined CMA Fest at Nissan Stadium last night, the largest venue in his hometown of Nashville after going to the juvenile detention center as a kid in the SAME PARKING LOT. He wore a custom jacket of the two places on stage. #jellyroll #jellyrollconcert #cmafest #nissanstadium #nashville #jellyrollofficial #jellyrollandbunnie #inspiration #jellyrollcmafest #emotional #jellyrolllive #jellyrollmusic

Jelly Roll went through a number of troubles as a child and spent time in a youth detention center. Little did we know, the detention center is in the same parking lot as Nissan Stadium!

“When I say right behind me, I mean right behind me, it’s in the same parking lot” Jelly Roll shares referring to the facility.

He mentions that he remembers hearing all of the noise from the venue when he was there and encouraged the crowd to cheer for them!

“I was in and out of jail. I was in and out of drug addiction, and tonight I’m headlining CMA Fest on Saturday night, in Nashville Tennessee, in Nissan Stadium right now!’

The crowd loses it as the thoughts bring Jelly Roll to tears. We’re so proud of your strength Jelly Roll! The full video is on Tiktok.
