Jelly Roll Sells Out Madison Square Garden And Then Opens SNL’s 50th Season

Jelly Roll had a monumental weekend in his career! The artist not only sold-out Madison Square Garden two weeks ago on Friday night, but continued the fun into Saturday, as the musical guest for SNL.

He somehow had time to cram all of these exciting things into one weekend. It’s hard to sell-out Madison Square Garden, but Jelly Roll is killing it currently in the country music world. One highlight from the MSG show, was that Jelly Roll brought out Post Malone to sing I Had Some Help together!

The next day Jelly Roll went to play Global Citizen’s in Central Park, before heading over to NBC Studios to rehearse and play SNL as the musical guest. Jelly Roll played a few of his songs, including Winning Streak and Liar. He kicked off a monumental 50th season for Saturday Night Live.

Jelly Roll took to Instagram to say “Y’all give me this life. Thank you. Thank you, thank you”. As he’s sitting in the back seat of a car service, he shares that he never usually makes videos like this, but he had to because he was getting a “police escort” to SNL.

Jelly Roll had a fun filled and well-deserved weekend with all of the hard work paying off! Someone who was once sitting in a jail cell, to playing for thousands of people in NYC is unreal. Congratulations Jelly Roll!
