“Tipsy Probably Has Billions of Streams” – Lily Belknap Honigberg + Sophie Sargent

When you think of today’s genre-blending hits — where country meets pop, and Americana flirts with hip-hop — you might not immediately picture a fiddle. For violin, strings, and fiddler player Lily Belknap Honigberg, that’s exactly where she shines. Bringing her Irish fiddling experience to today’s hits, you wouldn’t believe how crucial this instrument is in some of our favorite tracks today.

From the recording studio to high-profile performances, Honigberg’s signature sound is featured in last year’s song of the summer Shaboozy’s A Bar Song. Most recently, she’s brought her talents to collaborations with rising star Dasha, and is even hitting the road with her this summer on tour.

In this interview, Sophie Sargent sits down with Honigberg to explore her creative process, covering her “I made it” moment, how she started in the country music world, and everything in between.

Listen to the full interview below, or pieces of it during the afternoon show from 3PM-7PM with Sophie!
