I read a very interesting post recently about the current dating scene. It made a compelling argument for bringing back the office romance. I know, and we all know, how these things can go south — aka, don’t date your boss — but as someone who met their significant other at work, I understand the draw.
So many people are on dating apps these days, and it feels like no one meets organically anymore. I’ve thankfully never had to join the online dating world, but I have many friends who are online looking for a partner, and it seems so difficult to establish a real connection when you’re going on date after date, asking and answering the same questions about yourself over and over again.
So, I say, if two people can keep it professional, why not date? When you spend 40 hours a week with someone and have shared responsibilities and shared goals, that seems like it could be the foundation of something solid.
