The future is here! Food delivery robot crashes into bus shelter

The Jetsons have nothing on the real-world year 2026.

WLS in Chicago reported that a food delivery robot crashed into CTA bus shelter shattering glass across the ground.

“We’re aware of the incident involving one of our robots in Chicago, no injuries were reported, our team responded quickly to clean up, and we’re reviewing what happened to make improvements.”

“We have also been in contact with local stakeholders and are committed to addressing any concerns directly, we take this matter very seriously.”

This all coming from a spokesperson for the bot’s operator, Serve Robotics.

They have not said whether the stakeholders include the person who ordered the food, or if the robot was holding steaks.

Meanwhile, it was also reports that a second food delivery robot crashed into a different bus shelter. That bot’s operator, Coco Robotics, says it will pay for any damage caused.

This is not a good sign for the future of Skynet!
