Okay, this is one of those little table fans that’s supposed to keep flies off your food when you’re outside — like at a BBQ, picnic, patio dinner, or even an event table.

The little blades spin around and have reflective strips on them, which are supposed to confuse or scare flies away from landing on your food. It’s chemical-free, so you’re not spraying anything near the chips and dip, which I like.

My honest take: I think it could be helpful, but I would not expect it to perform miracles. It’s probably great for protecting a small area — like a fruit tray, charcuterie board, or a few dishes on a table — but it’s not going to turn your whole backyard into a no-fly zone.
