MANCHESTER, N.H.- An appeals court has sided with the parents in Bow who were banned from district property after they wore wrist bands in silent protest of transgender players participating in a girls’ soccer game in 2024.

On Wednesday a First U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals judge sent the case back to a lower court after ruling the protest “fell short of harassment and disruption” , and that the parents had a “reasonable likelihood” of proving that the school’s actions were based on unconstitutional viewpoint discrimination.

The parents had originally claimed that district officials were discriminating against them for wearing pink wrist bands with XX written on them and that the district officials took aggressive action when they banned the parents from district property.
