MANCHESTER, N.H.- Outrage is growing on both sides of the political isle after the NH Libertarian Party took to social media and called for the assassination of every elected Democrat in the state.

According to a recent post on X the group wrote; “We openly support the assassination of basically every elected Democrat in New Hampshire. But if you don’t have the balls to do that then you should probably vote GOP.”

Following Tuesday’s post, a number of folks including Congresswoman Maggie Goodlander are pushing back and said that both State and Federal law enforcement should look into the post;

“I condemn, with every fiber of my being, the threats of and calls for murder from the Libertarian Party of New Hampshire. Every freedom-loving American. Independents, Republicans, Democrats, and, yes, Libertarians must do the same…. Calling for the killing of fellow Americans because you disagree is not liberty. It is absolutely anti-American. You can disagree with someone as deeply as humanly possible. But in the United States of America, you cannot call for their killing and go unpunished.”

The Democratic Congresswoman wasn’t the only one within the state’s political sphere calling out the group for the post as Republican Governor Kelly Ayotte issued a statement condemning the post;
“This type of behavior is irresponsible and dangerous. Violent rhetoric has no place in our politics, and threats like this should be investigated and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”

As just who is behind the post, the party isn’t saying; but it is believed that Jeremy Kauffman, the chair of the Libertarian Party of New Hampshire is behind the post, however Kauffman has yet to take credit for the statement publicly.

When asked for comment on the matter by the Union Leader, the group issued the following statement ” LPNH believes that New Hampshire is healthier and free when anyone who would enact an income tax fears for their life.“
