MANCHESTER, N.H.- The Executive Council on Wednesday confirmed Lucy Lange of Bedford as the next commissioner for the Department of Business & Economic Affairs and Assistant Environmental Commissioner Adam Crepeau of Gilford to serve as interim director for the Department of Natural & Cultural Resources.

Lange who currently serves as the President and CEO of the Manchester Media Group, which owns and operates several radio stations in Manchester including WZID and WFEA replaces Taylor Caswell of Littleton who stepped away from the position last fall.

Following her conformation Lange posted a statement to her Linkedin account, “Today marks the start of a very exciting new chapter.”

Executive Councilor Joe, R-Wakefield said he’s confident that Lange will do more to promote economic growth in the North Country.

The council also voted in support of Assistant Environmental Commissioner Adam Crepeau, becoming interim director of the State’s Department of Natural & Cultural Resources following the resignation of Sarah Stewart.

Stewart resigned from her position Monday over the apparent breakdown in communication between her department and the Governor’s office, after it was revealed that someone in her department without her knowledge had in fact been in talks with federal officials over a possible detainment center being set up in Merrimack.
