FRANKLIN N.H.- City Councilors have unanimously approved an amendment to increase fines for properties that violate city codes such as abandoned vehicles and excessive debris.

Code enforcement officers and other officials in Franklin hope to put more pressure on property owners to comply with city ordinances and prevent legal escalation.

In 2023 Franklin hired a new city attorney and began cracking down on violation penalties.
