HUDSON, N.H.- Police say a woman is facing more than a dozen animal cruelty charges after neighbors raised concerns over a foul order and several animals living in her apartment.

According to police Marcia Anderson,52, was arrested back on July 16th and charged with 17 counts of negligent cruelty to animals, as officers says her home not only had an overwhelming odor of urine but that police were forced to call the fire department to assess the air toxicity.

Conditions inside the apartment reportedly included animal urine and feces throughout the apartment due to the number of dogs and cats inside; as police say the dogs were covered in their own urine, slept together in one small crate, and that none of the animals were current on vaccines or documentation.

In all 14 dogs and three cats were removed from the home.
