Injured Hiker rescued from Gap Mountain

TROY, NH – Fish & Game authorities say crews ended up rescuing an injured hiker near Gap Mountain Sunday afternoon.

Authorities say a little before 4pm crews were dispatched and ended up aiding a man down the mountain. As authorities say Brett Gonzales, 42, of Rindge was hiking back down the mountain when he slipped on wet rocks and suffered a serious, but non-life-threatening injury to his leg.

Officials note that members of the Troy Fire and Rescue Department arrived on scene around 6pm to help treat Gonzales, before he was transported an area hospital.
