A Manchester resident is charged with attempted murder of a federal officer in connection with a shooting over the weekend near the U.S.-Canada border in Pittsburg, according to the U.S. Department of Justice’s office. 26-year-old Blu Zeke Daly, also known as Cullan Zeke Daly was arrested. Officials say early Sunday morning, Daly arrived at the border crossing in northern Pittsburg, but it was closed.
Investigators said the Border Patrol agent approached Daly who started to turn and then fired at the agent. Officials said the agent fired back, Daly was taken to the hospital and remains there under guard. The agent involved was not hurt.
The FBI is in charge of the investigation.
