Nashua’s Board of Aldermen interviewing candidates for vacant seat


NASHUA, N.H. – Nashua’s Board of Aldermen are expected to interview five residents who have expressed interest in filling the vacant Ward 1 alderman seat during at a special meeting Wednesday.

The Ward 1 Alderman seat became vacant last month when newly elected Alderman Stephen Chess stepped down citing family issues with the recent birth of his second child.

The board is expected to choose Chess’s successor following the interview period.  That candidate will fill out the remainder of Chess’s two-year term, which ends Dec. 31, 2027.
