LONDONDERRY, N.H.- Town Councilors, School board members and personnel broke ground Tuesday on new school district administrative offices.

Officials say it’ll take about year to build the structure, which will sit adjacent to the Town Hall at 268B Mammoth Road.

This project marks a first as both the town government and district are contrubiting funds from their own budgets towards the project.

With a price tag of $3.9 million, officials say the town will use $2.5 million from its fund balance on the project while the school district will use $1.4 million of its own fund balance and will then allocate some of its budget to pay back the town’s contribution through yearly lease payments of $250,000 over a 10-year period.
