EXETER, N.H.- Authorities say the Sig Sauer facility was evacuated Monday afternoon after a pair of 3D printers caught fire.

According to investigators around 3:45 p.m. the building was evacuated after employees reported an explosion of titanium in a 3D printing machine which ended up leaving one employee with serious burns.

Once on scene Hazmat crews discovered two printing machines with fires in the hoppers but were able to remove the machines and place them in sand.

Following this incident, officials say the person injured was flown to a Boston hospital.

Officials say the incident was considered under control about three hours after the explosion.
