DERRY, NH

At a recent Zoning board meeting in Derry no members of the public spoke in favor of proposal for a housing project for property along Chester Road in Derry.

According to several Derry residents, they believe the project would damage the landscape and hurt nearby waters.

Derry Zoning board members reviewed an early look at the project developers hope to build on an 11-acre property at 19 Chester Road — a site located near single-family homes, across the road from a long-established apartment complex and not far from Beaver Lake.

Details on the buildings, size of housing units, etc. were not explained during the meeting.

The Derry Zoning board will continue the hearing Oct. 1.
