A woman was arrested yesterday morning after police said she stabbed a 75-year-old man in Manchester. The state attorney general’s office said Manchester police responded to a 911 call at 259 Chestnut St. around 5. They found 75-year-old Vernon Hayford with life-threatening injuries and later died at the hospital. Authorities said 54-year-old Carrie Drake was arrested and charged with second-degree murder and being a felon in possession of a deadly weapon.
