MANCHESTER, N.H, – State officials say both Hampton and Seabrook beaches will remain open during the heat and ahead of the 4th of July holiday weekend after testing found very low concentrations of bacteria after a sewage line ruptured last week in Haverhill Massachusetts.

Environmental officials in New Hampshire said no advisories will be posted for Seacoast beaches after the water was tested Monday.

Out of Tuesday’s results official from the New Hampshire’s Department of Environmental Services said that New Hampshire’s beaches are safe for swimming.

The need for testing comes after almost a dozen beaches in Massachusetts were closed when a sewage line ruptured this past Friday, following a heavy storm, which crews are rushing to repair and also lead the closure of around a dozen beaches along the coast.
