Still unclear who will oversee the YDC settlement fund

Who will oversee the Youth Development Center settlement fund remains a mystery as the six-month mark approaches without an administrator in place. Former fund administrator John Broderick stepped down in July 2025, and a replacement has not yet been named. The settlement fund was created to compensate victims of alleged physical, mental and sexual abuse suffered while in state care dating back 50 years.
