MERRIMACK, N.H. Residents in Merrimack head to the Polls Tuesday for Town & School Elections, as voters will be asked to green light a land purchase aimed at shaping the town’s future — and limiting new apartment construction.

The proposed $1.9 million acquisition would secure two central parcels for possible town use, including public safety facilities or recreation.

Voters will also be deciding on whether or not to approve more competitive salaries for Teachers.

Residents should note that voting will be taking place at the Merrimack Highschool and Merrimack Middle School, with the polls opening 7 a.m. will remain open until 7p.m.
