The National Weather Service says a tornado may have touched down in Keene as thunderstorms moved across the region. Meteorologists from the National Weather Service say a trained weather spotter reported a funnel cloud reaching the ground with rapid rotation just before 3 Thursday afternoon. The tornado was spotted just south of Keene State College, near the city’s Dillant-Hopkins Airport. There are no immediate reports of injuries. In Dublin, police said fallen trees, downed wires and a snapped utility pole were blocking Route 101. A car was also crushed by falling tree limbs. The National Weather Service plans to survey the area this morning.
