MANCHESTER, NH – Manchester Police are investigating are an unloaded weapon was found in 5th graders backpack at Manchester middle school yesterday.
School officials in Manchester report a shelter-in-place protocol was enacted at McLaughlin Middle School. Police were notified, the weapon was confiscated and the student was removed from school grounds.
School officials notified parents within 30 minutes of the discovery of the weapon.
No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
