EXTER, N.H. – Fire officials say a woman pulled from a burning home earlier this week has died from her injuries.

According to investigators, when fire crews arrived at the home on Stonewall Way Tuesday night, they were greeted by significant smoke coming from the 3rd floor.

As firefighters began battling the flames they came across the victim who was pulled from the building and treated at the scene before being transported to an area hospital.

Fire officials say the unidentified woman was first taken to Exeter Hospital and then Mass General Hospital and died with her family by her side. Her identity has not been released.

As for what caused the fire, authorities say that’s the subject of an ongoing investigation.
