Jelly Roll & Bunnie Xo Divorce Update: What We Learned From the Dumb Blonde Podcast

Country music fans were stunned when news broke that Jelly Roll had filed for divorce from Bunnie Xo after nearly 10 years of marriage. Now, Bunnie is finally speaking out, and her emotional episode of the Dumb Blonde podcast has shed new light on what really happened.

According to Bunnie, the split was not caused by cheating, despite rumors flying across social media. She made it clear that “nobody cheated on the other person” and said the divorce came after a long period of communication struggles between the couple.

On the podcast, Bunnie admitted that she and Jelly Roll had fallen into a pattern of avoiding difficult conversations.

“We were the type of couple who never argued.”

She explained that both of them were holding things in, creating what she called “a recipe for disaster.”

The breaking point reportedly came on Mother’s Day after a heated argument. During the fight, Bunnie said she told Jelly Roll:

“File the f—ing divorce papers.”

What shocked her was that he actually followed through. Later in the podcast, she admitted she felt “blindsided” when the filing became reality and revealed that the decision to divorce was not mutual from her perspective.

Another major factor discussed was the couple’s heartbreaking IVF journey. Bunnie revealed they lost four embryos, including a set of twins, and described the experience as emotionally devastating.

“It’s gut-wrenching. It is so heartbreaking.”

Despite ending their marriage, the pair say their story isn’t over. In one of the most surprising revelations from the podcast, Bunnie announced that she and Jelly Roll still plan to have a baby together and co-parent in the future.

“We’re still having a baby together.”

She repeatedly referred to Jelly Roll as her “best friend” and emphasized that their future relationship is about friendship, healing, and family rather than romance.

The divorce also appears to be unusually amicable. Bunnie revealed that Jelly Roll is giving her their Tennessee compound as part of the settlement, allowing her to keep the property, their animals, and continue building the life they’ve worked toward together.

Jelly Roll has also publicly addressed the rumors. During a recent concert, he told fans:

“The internet is a liar.”

He went on to deny any infidelity and reiterated that Bunnie remains his best friend despite the divorce.

For now, it sounds like one of country music’s most beloved couples is choosing friendship over marriage. While the romance may be ending, both Jelly Roll and Bunnie Xo say they’ll continue supporting each other and even moving forward with plans to become parents together.
