Tom Brady Brings His Dog Back from the Dead… Kind Of.

Football legend Tom Brady is making headlines again but this time, it’s not about touchdowns or Super Bowl rings. It’s about his dog.

Brady recently revealed that his new pup, Junie, is actually a clone of his family’s late dog, Lua, who passed away in 2023. Before Lua died, the family worked with scientists to save a sample of her DNA — and that’s what was used to create Junie.

The cloning was done by Colossal Biosciences, a Texas-based biotech company known for some pretty wild science they’re the same folks researching ways to bring back extinct animals like the woolly mammoth! Brady also happens to be an investor in the company, so this story hits close to home in more ways than one.

Brady says the process gave his family “a second chance” with their beloved pet, though he admits it’s emotional seeing a dog that looks just like Lua but is still her own personality.

Of course, this move has sparked a big debate online some fans think it’s amazing, while others say it’s crossing a line. Experts remind people that cloning makes a genetic copy, but not the same exact animal the behavior and memories aren’t something science can duplicate.
